Mrs. Hastings died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at MS Care Center in Corinth. She was born on March 7, 1924 in Ripley, MS to the late Manuel and Etta Brock. She was a retired factory worker, loved quilting, and was a member of the Kossuth Worship Center.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Roy Warren Hastings; four brothers, Marvin, Mitchell, Carlton, and Dee Brock; two sisters, Marie Brock and Etta McKay; and her step-mother, Lizzy Brock.
Mrs. Hastings is survived by her son, Jim Hastings and wife Linda of Corinth; three brothers, Wayne Brock and wife Rosa Lee of Ripley, MS, Alvie Brock of Memphis, TN, and Harold Brock and wife Jamie of Pontiac, MI; two sisters, Angie Hamm of Kents Store, VA and Naoma Davis of Ripley, MS; one grandson, Greg Hastings and Amybeth of Memphis, TN; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Miller Hastings of Memphis, TN; one special niece, Ruth Glidwell, and a host of friends.
