Grady Mattox Kuykendall

Funeral service for Grady Kuykendall, 97, will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at Union Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until service time. Bro. Raybon Richardson and Bro. Brad Vuncannon will officiate the service.

Mr. Kuykendall passed away on October 28, 2025 at his son's residence. He was born in Alcorn County on April 23, 1928 to the late Ruben and Elsie Mattox Kuykendall. He was a 1948 graduate of Kossuth High School. He farmed and raised cattle for a living. He was a 32nd degree mason and a longtime member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Kuykendall; brothers, Hollis Kuykendall, Reed Kuykendall and William Kuykendall; and sister, Florene Kuykendall Morton.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Kuykendall (Tricia) and Ronnie Kuykendall (Angie Piper); grandchildren, Madison Kuykendall (Nikki), Riley Kuykendall, Kimberly Kuykendall Poe (Matthew) and Emily Burcham (Hunter); great-grandchildren, Sarah Kuykendall, John Mattox Kuykendall, Jack Kuykendall, Everett Burcham, and Easton Burcham; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
