

Huie E. Burcham, Jr. passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at StoneRidge of Farmington. He was born on May 7,1929 to the late Hughie E. Burcham and Adele Kenmar Burcham. A graduate of Glendale High School, class of 1948, Huie went on to serve in the United States Army. In the late 1940’s, he met Lila and they were married in 1951. Huie and Lila spent 74 wonderful years together.
Huie was an avid outdoorsman whom enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. Each year he looked forward to his Nebraska pheasant hunting trips. If Huie was going to get a deer, it would be within the first hour of opening day. He also cherished time spent turkey hunting with his brother. He loved attending Bluegrass music events and spending time with his Blue Grass friends. Above all, Huie treasured the moments spent with family and friends making memories that would last a lifetime.
In addition to his parents, Huie was preceded in death by his sister, Wanza Wingo and son-in-law, Don Taylor.
Huie is survived by his wife, Lila Burcham; daughters, Corinne Pryor (John) of Columbia, SC, Nancy Stults (Tommy) of Memphis, TN, and Cathy Taylor of Counce, TN; brother, Karey Burcham (Shirley Tutor) of Glen, MS; two granddaughters, Heather Paulus (David) of Ft. Smith, AR and Holly Turner (Daniel) of Germantown, TN; and four great grandchildren, Emma, Luke, Julia and Lila.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the caring staff and residents at StoneRidge of Farmington.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 1 pm until 2:50 pm at Memorial Funeral Home followed by private family graveside services at Farmington Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hardin County TN District 3 Emergency Response Services (PO Box 3 Counce, TN 38326) or a charity of your choice.
