

Celebration of Life Services for Jerry David Palmer, 77, will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Foote Street Church of Christ, officiating the services are Terry Smith, Charles Curtis, and Larry Montgomery. Interment will be in Henry Cemetery. Jerry died Saturday at his residence in Corinth. He was born August 15, 1938 in Alcorn Co. to the late Odell and Bessie Cox Palmer.
He was a member of Foote Street Church of Christ, he served as an instructor in the US Air Force, he retired after 38 years with ITT as Senior Product Engineer, received the Ring of Quality Gold Award, which was the highest Award given by ITT Worldwide, traveled Worldwide during his tenure at ITT and he developed two Telephone Ringer Patents, and after retiring from ITT served as President of Ringers Inc. for 15 years. Jerry loved the outdoors where he spent time on his Farm in Rienzi, raising Catfish and Pine Trees, he also received two Patents on Fresh Water Aeration Equipment, he loved helping people and was generous with his time and resources to others, his greatest joy was his grandchildren whom he loved very much.
He was proceded in death by his parents: -- Brothers: Henry, Mitchell, Bonnie, Junior and Rupert Palmer; Sisters: Sue Taylor, Marie Baker, and Lucille Calvary.
He is survived by his wife: Sydalia Palmer; Sons: Keith Palmer, Rienzi, Todd Palmer (Cassandra) Starkville, Ms. Grandchildren: Brooke Southern; Carissa, Savannah, Josiah, and Sadie Jo Palmer Sister- in -Law: Eveline Palmer; Brothers- in- Law: Curtis Rogers (Madie), Roger Day, host of nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be his nephews – Jerry Palmer – Paul Palmer – Charles Palmer – Harold Palmer – Larry Palmer – Gene Calvary
Visitation: will be 5:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday evening at Memorial Funeral Home and 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Foote Street Church of Christ
Memorial may be made in Jerry’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memphis, Tn.
