Joe Michael Franks

Joe Michael Franks 53, died December 31, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Corinth on June 5, 1959 to the late Joe Hardin and Mattie Thornton Franks. He was a 1977 graduate of Corinth High School, was an electrician for IBEW local 852. For the past 19 years was was co-owner of Office Pro in Corinth. Joe served on many boards, Main Street Corinth, serving on the board and lining up the entertainment for the Slugburger and Hog Wild Festivals, recently he received the Jim Bynum Award for outstanding service to Main Street Corinth.

Also was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Corinth, having served as president, Kiwanian of the Year and a Leon Frazier Fellow, most recently he has been serving on the Crossroads Arena Board. . He was an avid barbeque, attending man cooking computations and cooking throughout the community, also served as a DJ to many local schools for dances.

Precedced in death by his parents.

Survived by his wife Sharon Patrick Franks, daughter Erin Grier Moss her husband Jeremy, son Zack Grier and Krystal and Audrey, Grandchildren Brynn and Presley Moss. All of Corinth, MS. Host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Elliott, Rev. Jimmy Rich and Joey Gilmore doing the eulogy. Burial will be in the Henry Cemetery.

Pallbearers Joey Gilmore, Bo Mitchell, Alan Dodd, John D. Mercier, Joe Caldwell, Erine Welch, David Lancaster, Steve Knight.

Honorary pallbearers Kiwanis Club of Corinth, Crossroads, Arena Board and Employees of Office Pro.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 at First United Presbyterian Church
