Johnny Dewayne Bishop

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Johnny Bishop will be held at 2pm Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm until service time at the funeral home.

Johnny passed away on March 13, 2026 at Magnolia Regional Health Center at the age of 56. He was born on December 29, 1969 to the late George and Ruby Bishop. A graduate of Biggersville High School, Johnny worked at Caterpillar for a short time before his employment for The City of Corinth. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Above all, Johnny loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who where the light of his life. He was known for buying them "unnecessary things" that they wanted, just to see their enjoyment from it.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Perk Palmer.

Johnny is survived by his children, Josey Killough (Michael), Jack Bishop (Alysa) and Brylen Butler; grandchildren, Coraline Killough, Annistyn Killough, Wrenlee Killough, Bryson Butler, and Oliver Bishop; brothers, Ricky Bishop (Shelia), Bobby Bishop (Connie) and David Bishop (Patty); sister, Peggy Palmer; nephew, Jeff Palmer; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
