Kenny Wayne Coleman

Celebration of Life Services, for Kenny Wayne Coleman, 71, is set for 3:00 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Kenny died March 1, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.

He was born March 12, 1945, to the late Willie Lee and Elbie Nichols Coleman. He was a 1964 graduate of Kossuth High School and was also a graduate Delta State University, He had taught in the McNairy County School District and retired from the Alcorn Co. School District after having taught there for over 35 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and many have great memories of Kenny from their high school days. A kind hearted friend to many, he was always fun to be around and will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a special baby, Jacob Johnson.

He is survived by his daughter, Tera Lee Coleman; grandchildren, Alyssa Lanai Coleman and Alexus Lashai Gilliam; his sister, Sherra (Curtis) Potts; his nephew, Jesse (Brittany) Potts and their children Axyl and Adler; his niece, Tana (Doug) Heavener and their child, Reed; a special friend of 22 years, Lynnette Johnston and her family, Chandra Kennamore, Jessica and Danny Miller, Anna Lisa Davis, Kimberly Whirley; their children, Sam Mullins, Dylan Davis, Lexie Paige Miller, Nathan Miller, Katie Hunt, Eli Kennamore, John Garrett Richardson; and a host of other family and friends.
