Lonnie Hugh Switcher

Mr. Switcher was an outdoor enthusiast. If it could be done outdoors, you can find him doing it! He loved to hunt, fish, and run his favorite dogs each fall. He loved the town of Tunica, MS. He was a "Platinum" member at the Horseshoe Casino where he could be found playing his favorite slot machines. Mr. Switcher loved westerns. Above everything else, he cherished his family; he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Switcher was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Switcher (Bobby Jean); and a brother-in-law Gerald Austin.

Mr. Switcher is survived by his son, Kevin Switcher (Sonya); a sister, Carolyn Austin; two grandchildren, Hunter Switcher and Addie Switcher; two great grandchildren, Anthem Tate Switcher and Olivia Mae Haley; a special grandchild, Shiloh Haley; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Nora Glidewell; and a host of extended family and friends.

Pallbearers for the services will be Mike Switcher, Shane Switcher, Tyler Switcher, Hayden Switcher, Billy James, and Jason James.

There is a Celebration of Life Service scheduled for Tuesday, September 24, 2024 beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon at McPeters Funeral Directors in with Bro. Tracy Quillian officiating. The family will receive friends Monday beginning at five o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening and Tuesday from noon until service time.

The family has entrusted McPeters Funeral Directors with the care for the arrangements.
