

"Miss" Mavis Alexander, 92, of Corinth went to rest in her eternal home Sunday, January 12, 2025, at The Sanctuary House In Tupelo. She was born January 11, 1932 to the late William Lonzo and Frankie Mae Bristow Trice in Dublin, TX.
Ms. Alexander was a devout member of First Baptist Church and a faithful servant to the Lord in her church and community. Her greatest ministry was being a prayer warrior. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and mentor. She always kept her "Preacher Boys" in line. She loved her pastors and supported them unconditionally. She greeted everyone with a loving smile.
Ms. Alexander was greeted in Heaven by her parents; her husband of seventy-two years, Hoyt Sherrill Alexander; and five siblings.
Ms. Alexander is survived by daughters, Jo Lynn Burns (Bro. Sammy) and Leigh Ann Foster (Dr. Robert); six grandchildren, Farris Burns (Canada), Joseph Burns, Rachel Burns Martin (Davin), Mary Grace Burns Green (Austin), Andrew Burns, and John Michael Foster; great-grandchildren, Kairas Martin, Asher Martin, William Hayes Green, Olivia Lynn Green, Virginia Green, and Ransom Burns; and a most beloved friend, Pat Trainum.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at First Baptist Church beginning at three o'clock with Bro. Nathan Van Horn and Bro. Dennis Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from two o'clock until service time.
