Randy F Newborn

A family and friends gathering will take place for Randy F. Newborn, 74, on Friday February 7, 2025 at Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Military honors will take place at 12:00 pm.

Randy passed away on January 25, 2025 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on November 22, 1950 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Raymond E. and Vadar Newborn. He was known in Memphis and the surrounding areas for his determination, hard work and professionalism. He and his brothers were the experts in wallpaper removal; they owned and operated a business together called Newborn Walls and Alls. He also painted and enjoyed doing projects around the house. He was a 101st Airborne Army Ranger and received 6 purple hearts while serving in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Rivers Newborn; step-son, David Wilkinson; step-daughter, Callie Wilkinson; grandchildren, Casper and Ezekiel Watson; father-in-law, Terrence Wilkinson; and a host of other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Buddy and his twin, Andy Newborn.
