Saundra Lynetta Hughes

Funeral services for Saundra Hughes, 58, will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Childers and Bro. Phillip Caples officiating. Burial will be in the Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery in Shiloh, TN

Mrs. Hughes died on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born on Wednesday, September 17, 1952 to the late Harve and Carrie Campbell Fondren. During her life, she worked for the Hardin County Health Department in Savannah, TN for 27 years. Her friends and family said she was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to its fullest and was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met. She also enjoyed traveling but most of all loved being Nana. She was of he Baptist faith.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Fondren; and her sister, Joyce Wright.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Hughes of Counce, TN; one daughter, Angie Gardner and husband J.J. of Corinth; two brothers, Bob Fondren and wife Ruby of Savannah, and Travis Fondren and wife Sandy of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Hank and Sally Kate Gardner; special best friend, Gale Shaw; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Tony Fondren, Marty Hammock, Brandon Smith, Eddie Shaw II, David Childers and Tommy Martin will serve as pallbearers and Bob Fondren and Travis Fondren will act as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 19th from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and from 12:00 P.M. till service time on Wednesday.
