I cannot explain why Tom came into my mind for the last several days.  So much so this time, I had to search.  He has come in to my mind in the past as well, but, so have all the former Hahn Truck Center "Men".  I saw a picture in images, and knew it had to be him.  I searched a bit more and sadly found he had passed.  People like Tom last in ones good memories, even though I was just the owners brat daughter.  I will never forget his "carefully quaffed hair".  Most importantly, I will never forget what a kind, nice, caring, compassionate person he was and that we considered him as family and he sure tolerated a lot from us - I was easy as I was the good kid! Tom sat behind us in Church but never let on he had any health problems   Such a nice man. I hate we didn't know more about him.  My husband would have loved talking sports or fishing    He was well liked.  We'll miss him at our back.  Virginis Wayne Hill

I was surprised and saddened to hear the news. Asking our angels to bring comfort. I will never forget the feeling when Uncle Tom's truck was parked in our driveway when they came up to Racine to visit Grandma and Grandpa (Dave and Donna). It was like a surprise Holiday and you would drop whatever you were doing to spend time next door and visit, even if it was just to hear the stories of the three siblings growing up in Fon Du Lac. My most recent favorite memory was bringing Grandma (Donna) down to visit and playing sequence at the kitchen table all afternoon teasing and laughing. I will treasure that visit especially, and other memories always.

Surprised and saddened by the news. Asking our Angels to bring comfort. I will always remember the feeling Seeing Uncle Tom's truck in the driveway when Uncle Tom and Aunt Joyce were here in To visit Gramma and Grampa. Their random visits were like surprise holidays, I would skip whatever plans to go next door to visit even if it was just to listen to the legendary stories of the three siblings growing up. Joyce and family, we so much enjoy our visits in Corinth and talking sports with Tom...especially the Packers. We are blessed to have spent time with him.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. Uncle Tom was the best storyteller I ever knew. His timing was just right, he always had the whole room laughing. 

I'm sending you all love and keeping you close to my heart.

The Zehren family extends our sympathies to Aunt Joyce, Eddie, Susie and Jeff, and your families. We will all remember Uncle Tom as the family story teller.

I recall a story of his "watching" Beth and Jane while mom went to church. Apparently they got into shoe polish and painted the cupboards black while Tom and Dad were sleeping. My mother, Donna was not happy...especially since Beth painted Jane black. Tom couldn't leave fast enough and stepped in a pail of paint on the way out.

Of course the story varied depending on when Uncle Tom told it as well as who he was telling it to.
