Mrs. Works died on July 12, 2013 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was born on July 16, 1921 to the late William Thomas and Mamie Hardin Northcutt. She was a very outgoing person who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Along with her late husband, “Boots” Sasser, she owned and operated Jack and Jill’s. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking care of her family, loved all pets and babysitting her babies “Trapper and Achilles.” Up until the time she became ill, Mrs. Works was a very active member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents and her husband “Boots”, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Works; four sisters, Cecile Floyd, Ann Taylor, Johnnie Taylor, and Lewell Rowland; and one brother, Jimmy Northcutt.
Survivors include two brothers, Joe Northcutt and wife Andi, and W.T. “Dub” Northcutt and wife Dot all of Oak Ridge, TN; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
