I don't know how I stumbled across this, but what a sad thing to read about 9 years after the fact.

I met Bob when I was in middle school in North York, he lived a couple blocks down the road and we used to play baseball together with the "gang" at Faywood Public School grounds.

In High School, we would ride the bus together, he would transfer to his school C.W. Jefferies and I would head the other way to Northview Heights.   

He was a very good artist and he drew a portrait of me when I was around 15 years old.   I still have it.

He was such a polite and honest soul and his friendship meant so much to me.

When I got married we lost touch all those years ago.  

I am very sorry to hear of his passing and wish to extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Dear Borys, You are, and were on earth, a kind, generous person. Not only with your wisdom, but now with your spirit. Your children have a great legacy to follow. You will always be remembered, and always loved.  You are the big brother to Mark.  He knows you will watch over him, and you will be watching over your children. I still can't believe that the Lord decided that this was your time, you still had so much music to play and to give to the world.  Rest in peace, dear Bo.

I first met bob many moons ago, when I thought he would take his cartoonist skills to the next level. We lost contact, but I'm still friends with his younger brother. I see he still took his creative ideas to the next level other ways.

Thank you Bo for giving me my kids. They will continue to make you proud. Watch over them and let them know you're 'here'. I'll remember the laughter, and not the tears. Say Hi to Boomer!

I'm saddened by the news of our world losing Borys. Creative brilliance, time and time again. And for a small circle of friends, a red dot will always symbolize that stubborn brilliance that delivered the best. My deepest sympathies for family.

Borys was an experience creative director and I was a journalism refugee and fledgling copywriter/account exec when we met. Despite his love for disco music, the Dallas Cowboys and cheap American beer, we became great friends. (He didn't care much for my 'hippy' tastes either. We worked as a creative team for years, through good times and tough ones too. Borys was a terrific advertising man and a friend I could always depend on. The world feels a little lonelier without him.

I have been blessed to have known him since 1992. He was cherished by everyone who knew him. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

I would like to extend my condolences to Borys' family.  He was a great person, and he will be missed.

Borys has been a friend and colleague for many years. Always ready to debate how to do things but always there and ready to help. Speaking with a mutual friend in Nassau yesterday, he said "Find me another Borys". I replied, there isn't another Borys. He will be sadly missed by all. Very sad to hear of your loss Phil and family.  Bob is now resting with our Lord in Heaven.  He was a great friend.  Also sending my condolences to his children.

Just recently reconnected with Borys after 25 years.  He was a great friend to me.  Am in shock!  Thinking of the family at this very sad time, especially Mark who I was also friends with many years back...Mandy

Worked with Bob back at Eatons Yorkdale in the sporting goods department in 1972 building bikes. He is one of my oldest friends. Phil Bellsmith
