

Born in Gaspé, Quebec, on November 30, 1939, Charles was the son of the late Alvah and Maria Eva (née Mullin) Patterson. Raised in a close-knit family, he carried the values of hard work, community, and loyalty throughout his life.
Charles shared many decades of love and partnership with Winona (née Ticehurst). He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Corlena (Jeff) and Julia, and his cherished grandchildren: Chloe (Bashar), the late Katya, Sierra, Nicholas, and Angelina. His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren, Emma Rose and Malik.
He was predeceased by his brothers: Angus (Velda), Evan (late Mary), Gordon (late June), and Ottis (late Elvera). He is survived by his sisters, Glenda (Kenneth) and Greta (Robert), who will remember him with deep love and affection.
Charles’s warmth, humor, and generous spirit touched the lives of many. He will be profoundly missed by his extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home – West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall (613-932-8482).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Avonmore Recreation Centre, 16299 Fairview Drive.
Burial will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mount Forest Cemetery, 358 Court Street, Coaticook, Québec. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at St. Paul’s United Church, 211 Pine Street, Magog, Québec.
