Born in Cornwall, Ontario on June 5, 1933, Darlene was the daughter of the late Richard Thompson and Isabel Groves.
At peace, resting alongside her beloved husband, Dwight Rupert. Loving mother to Pat Marsolais (late Brian), Lyle Rupert (Laurie), Gary Rupert (Karen), and the late Doug Rupert. Cherished grandmother to Staci, Kristy, Cory, Becky, Katrina, Samantha; and proud great-grandmother to Dawson, Brianna, Emma, Bailey, Liam, Brandi, Brelynn, Mason, Wren and Isabel.
The family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch (20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall) from 6:00p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday March 12th, 2026, and on Friday March 13th, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A Memorial Service will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow in the funeral home’s reception centre. Interment will take place in the springtime at Memorial Hill Cemetery.
