Glasgow Sr. Who passed away on Tuesday May 22nd, 2012 after a courageous battle following heart surgery and stroke. Dave proved to be a fighter right till the end, remaining aware and alert throughout his final years and days. Born in Winnipeg Man. In 1933, son of Frank Lawson Glasgow, and Evelyn Helen (Nee Davidson) Dave moved at an early age to Vancouver with his parents and sisters Bev and Jill. He spent his formative years in Vancouver where he excelled at many sports including high school football. He also often enjoyed hunting and fishing, hobbies that he pursued for many years. Dave joined the Royal Bank in 1950 and worked during his early years in Cornwall, and then for next 36 years in service to a diversified clientele across the country. His most favourite years were spent in Montreal. Following a term as Vice President Special loans in Montreal, Dave relocated to Ottawa where he continued in the Commercial banking division until his retirement. He then moved to his favourite place the family cottage at La Minerve. He spent several years there at “Au bout de la rue” until his final move to Cornwall. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada were Dave’s wishes.
