BENNETT, Douglas – At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Thursday February 4, 2016. He was 88. He leaves his loving wife of 60 years, Vivianne (Trudel) Bennett. Loving father of Maureen Kemeny (Frank). Sadly missed by 2 grandchildren, Danielle and Collin Kemeny. Survived by 4 brothers, George (Frieda), Raymond (Jeanette), William “Bill” (Gwen) and Robert (Martha) and 2 sisters, Margaret Young (Norm) and Patricia Thompson (Earl). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Ambrose and Alice (Ralley) Bennett, his son, Greg, and 2 brothers, Dominic and Michael and 1 sister, Irene Bennett. Friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Family and friends are requested to assemble at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Monday February 8, 2016 for Funeral Mass at 11am.
