Wife of the late Ernest Lapointe. Loving mother of Doris Sheppard (John). Cherished grandmother of Michael Merkley (late Tanya) and Tammy Merkley; and great grandmother of Travis, Autumn and Max. Treasured sister of Mabel Trudeau (late Delmer).
Predeceased by her parents John and Jessie (née Crites) Williams; her brother George Williams (late Dorine) and her sisters Ada Beckstead (late Howard) and Florence Evans (late Osmond).
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Elda’s home care workers; Carole and Kim; as well as the staff at Cornwall Community Hospital and St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre.
In keeping with Elda’s wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street, 613-938-1039.
Interment to take place at St. William’s Cemetery in Martintown, ON.
