It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Frances Belle Benedict (née Jones) at Tsi Ion Kwa Nonh So’te Long Term Care Home in Akwesasne on Sunday March 22, 2026, at the age of 92.
Beloved partner of William Thompson and predeceased by her husband Lawrence Benedict. Loving mother of: Francine Benedict (Greg Saj), late Lawrence Benedict (late Karen), Thomas Benedict (Kateri), Robert Benedict (late Fernande) and Patrick Benedict (Cheryl).
Cherished grandmother of Lesia Thompson, Robert Thompson, Elaine Thompson, Jason Thompson, Clifford Benedict, Clayton Benedict, late Christopher Benedict, Alicia Herne, Kyle Benedict, Brandon Benedict, Katie Krein, Maryann Benedict, Robert Benedict and Crystal Benedict; great grandmother of 49 and great great grandmother of several. Treasured sister of John and Jackie.
Predeceased by her parents Francis Rundell and Vera (née Alling) Jones; as well as her siblings Irving, Franklin, Walter, Harriette, Pat, Katie, and Marion.
Family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN WEST BRANCH, 20 SEVENTH STREET W, CORNWALL (613-932-8482) on Wednesday March 25, 2026, between the hours of 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM
As well as on Thursday March 26, 2026, between the hours of 9:00AM to 11:00AM prior to a Funeral Service that will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11:00AM.
