He leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 45 years, Madelaine Cottier (née Gauthier). Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law John, Andre, and Richard Gauthier. Uncle to their children Shawn, Stefan, Justin, and Jordan, and great-uncle to Liam and Owen. Predeceased by his parents, Francis and Doris (née Carrodus) Cottier.
Francis was born in Lancashire, England, and was known for telling jokes, and having a quick wit, and being a dignified Englishman. He loved the library and he was very involved with the Senior Encore Program especially Topics. His true love was an iced coffee and tea biscuit from Tim Hortons.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home West Branch 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482). Cremation has taken place.
