Hospice on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at age 82, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Survived by his wife of 61 years Shirley (Brown) Lefebvre, sons Gerry (Linda) and Robert
(Joanne) and five grandchildren; Melissa, Crystal, Dylan, Robyn and Sarah, and brother-in-law
Robert Liscomb. Predeceased by his father Palma Lefebvre, mother Dolores (Lacombe)
Lefebvre, brother Ivan, and sisters Rejeanne Miller, Dolly Liscomb and Georgette Shea. Mr.
Lefebvre was well-liked as the former proprietor of Cornwall City Press and Gerry's Kwik Print.
Known as "Tiger, " Gerry lived life to its fullest as as local motorcycle racer in the early 1950's.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the Cornwall Community
Hospital, the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the staff at the Cornwall Hospice for their compassion
and care. To honour the wishes of the deceased there will be no visitation. A private
graveside ceremony will be held for the family. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Cornwall Hospice would be greatly appreciated
by the family.
