Gerard "Gerry" Vivarais

Husband of Lynne (née Racine) and previously to the late Nicole (née St. Denis).

Loving father of Daniel (Susan) Vivarais of Long Sault, Michel (Deanna) Vivarais and Marcel (Rachel) Vivarais both of Cornwall along with his step children Billy Racine (Becky) and Jessica Racine (Ban).

Cherished grandfather of Mélanie (Dan), Mathieu, Amy (Pat), Brandon (Corey), Meghan (Pat), Devon, Alysha (Troy) and Paige. He will be remembered by his great-grandchildren Koston, Berra, Joslin, Lexie, Felix, Cohen, Brayden and 1 to be.

He will be missed by his siblings; Charles (Regina), Jacqueline Roach (late Kenny), Lucille Bissonnette (late Albert), Robert (Rachelle), Elaine Myre (late Francois), Lorraine Roy (Serge), Maggie Montpetit (Ron) and Suzanne Lauzon (“Bob” Robert).

Gerry was a loving man with over 38 years’ service with Canada Post. He will be dearly missed by his many friends, fellow co-workers along with his many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members.

Predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Agnes (née Leduc) Vivarais.

Family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall, ON (613-932-8482) on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Marc Piché officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Ontario SPCA Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Animal Centre, would be appreciated by the family.
