WIBBERLEY, Joan E. – peacefully at Cornwall Hospice on Sunday November 27, 2022. Joan Wibberley of Long Sault, at the age of 81 years, proud elementary teacher, a member of St. Pius X Church, the Catholic Women’s League (58 years), and the Royal Canadian Legion (Long Sault Branch), avid camper, confident golfer and long-time volunteer with the Friends of the Sanctuary. Beloved wife of James “Jim” Wibberley for 59 precious years. Loving mother of Angela Lessard, Christopher Wibberley (Sarah) both of Ottawa and Michael Wibberley (Ali) of Kingston. Cherished Mama of Nicolas "Nick”, Zachary “Zack”, and Jacob Lessard, Rohan, Gabriel, and Freya Wibberley. Dear sister of Frances “Frankie” Bjornson (the late George) of Portage la Prairie, MB, Joseph Thibodeau (Fran) of Comox B.C., Daniel Clayton Thibodeau (Darlene) of North Kingston N.S. and Julia Edwina “Hub” Earle (Curtis) of St. John N.B. Predeceased by her parents Joseph Edward Thibodeau, Jessie (née Godsoe) Thibodeau, her brother James “Jimmy” Thibodeau (the late Betty) and her precious niece Phyllis “Dawn” Kriger (George). Resting at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall (613-932-8482) on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 12 noon until the time of Funeral.
