WHITFORD, John James - At Hospice Cornwall on Tuesday October 27, 2015. In his 97th year. Beloved husband of Laurette Pauline (Brunet) Whitford. Dear father of Judy (Rick Skinner), Sue (Charlie Russell), Darlene, Michael, Larry Whitford (Violet), Diane (Gaetan Levert), Mark (Joanne) and David Whitford. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Survived by one sister Hazel Craig. Predeceased by 6 brothers, Bert, Clarence, Howard, Fred, Earl and Arnold Whitford and 4 sisters, Grace Gagnon, Beatrice McDonald, Gladys Tyo, and Hilda Wheeler. Friends will be received at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Thursday from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm and on Friday from 9:30 – 10:45am. Funeral Friday October 30, 2015 in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 am. Committal to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
