It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Lorraine Lauber (née Bergeron) on Thursday September 11, 2025, with family by her side in her home in Long Sault at the age of 78.
Beloved wife and best friend of 55 years to Wayne Lauber. Loving mother of Kristine Lauber-Otto and Amy Lauber-Proulx (Christopher). Cherished grandmother of: Noah Proulx, Isaak Proulx, Luken Proulx, Phoenix Otto, Ronin Otto, Maxx Lortie-Otto, and Zak Lortie-Otto. Treasured sister-in-law of Darlene Lauber and Jean Banville.
Lorraine is predeceased by her parents Remi and Marguerite (née Grey) Bergeron; and her siblings: Marcel Bergeron (Sue), Pauline Bergeron and Richard “Bergie” Bergeron (late Dorothy).
In keeping with Lorraine’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Family will be in attendance at Lahaie and Sullivan West Branch 20 Seventh Street W, Cornwall, on Wednesday September 24, 2025, between the hours of 2:00PM to 4:00PM, and 7:00PM to 9:00PM.
As well as on Thursday September 25, 2025, between the hours of 9:00AM to 11:00AM prior to a Service of Remembrance that will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 11:00AM.
As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
