

MULLIGAN, Margaret Ann “Marg” (Beattie) RN – passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hospice Cornwall on Thursday November 12, 2015 at the age of 64. She leaves her loving husband of 42 years, Richard (Dick) Mulligan. Her loving children, Kyleen LeBlanc (Jamie) and Cale Mulligan and the love of her life, her grandson, Evan Leblanc. Survived by 2 brothers, Donald and Douglas Beattie (Judy). Predeceased by her parents, Wilfred and Gladys (Flanigan) Beattie and sister-in-law Patricia Beattie. Also survived by her former sister-in-law, Brenda Beattie as well as her brother-in-law, Brian Mulligan (Huguette) and sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Margaret graduated in 1973 from the Brockville General School of Nursing. She worked at the Cornwall General Hospital and Cornwall Community Hospital in I.C.C.U. and the Massena Memorial in the E.R. She also worked for Para-Med and V.O.N. over her 40 plus years of nursing. Marg enjoyed gardening, stained glass and was a member of both the Cornwall Golf & Country Club and the Heron Creek Country Club in North Port, FL. The fact that many of her former patients rallied by her side during her sickness shows the dedication and compassion she had for her patients. She was also surrounded by many co-workers and friends. Respecting Marg’s wishes there will be no visitation. Family and friends are requested to assemble at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church for Funeral Mass on Wednesday November 18, 2015 at 1pm. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial donations in Margaret’s memory to the Hospice Cornwall – Carefor or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
