

KEARNS, Leonard Michael “Mike” ~ entered into Eternal Life at home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the age of 63. Deeply loved by his sister Donna Tremblay and his brother Patrick Kearns. Cherished “Uncle Mike” to Natasha (Marc), Zachary (Sarah), Tamara (Andrew) and Nicholas (Jordyn). Great uncle to Ethyn, Aurora, Marc, Luka, Grayson and Luke. Mourning his loss are his aunts; Eileen Skeoch (late Ken) of St. Catherines, ON, Elizabeth Munsie (Mel) of Trenton N.S., Norma Kearns (late Bernard) of Long Sault ON. He will be missed by his treasured cousin Anne Marie Bazinet-Miller, who took special care of him, as well as his many other cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Phyllis (née Maloney) and Leonard Kearns. Michael was a faithful and committed member of St. Bernard’s Parish, Finch, ON. He was the Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council 11123, Treasurer of the Kayak Club, Chesterville, ON, and member of the Finch Lions Club. Michael grew up as a man of the land and the farm. Tending his cattle, sowing seeds and reaping it’s fruit, bringing him much joy and giving him a great sense of accomplishment in his life. Michael’s generosity defined his life. He had many friends and loved by all who crossed paths with him. Family will be attendance at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Hall, 56 Front Street, Finch, ON., on Tuesday, September 26th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023 at 11:00AM with Fr. Augustine Obago officiating. Interment to follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Finch. Michael and his family are forever grateful for the exceptional and compassionate care that his niece Natasha gave him at home.
