Myris Tess Margaret Kataquapit

Myris was a spirited and adventurous soul who found peace and joy in the outdoors. Whether exploring nature or diving into a new adventure, she lived her life with boldness and a free heart. She also had a creative heart, finding calm and happiness in her crafts—especially beading, sewing, and making beautiful creations by hand that reflected her warmth and imagination. A passionate fan of Batman, Myris carried her strength and resilience like a true hero—quietly powerful, fiercely loving, and endlessly loyal.

Born on December 28, 1993, she was the beloved daughter of Mario Kataquapit and Margaret Sutherland, and cherished stepdaughter of Kelly Harris and the late Doug Medd. She was the proud and devoted mother of Auria and Eleanor, her greatest joys and her shining legacy. She will also be deeply missed by their father, Warren Louttit.

Myris is deeply mourned by her siblings: Martha, Philip, Martina (Nathan), Tabitha, Wyatt, Hannah, and Stuart; her godparents: Xavier Kataquapit and Elizabeth Sutherland; and many loving nieces and nephews: Max, Anna, Ryland, Nikamoh, Gillian, Harrison, Evelyn, Atlas and Chloe.

She is survived by her grandfather, Louis Sutherland and was predeceased by her grandparents Martha Sutherland, and Susan and Marius Kataquapit. Though gone, she joins them in peace.

Myris’s vibrant spirit, unapologetic laughter, and boundless love for her family and community will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes – West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the West Branch Memorial Chapel with a reception to follow.
