COOKE, Paul Alwyn – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Alwyn Cooke on December 16, 2025 at the age of 88 years. He took his last breath in the arms of his beloved wife of 42 years, Florence (Flo). Paul and Flo were married on November 25, 1983. Paul retired from Bell Canada in 1990 after 35 years of service.
Dad was an exceptional sportsman, traveler, music lover, fixer of all things and the best girl Dad ever! He and Flo enjoyed a life of travel, wintering in Florida for over 25 years. They traveled extensively throughout Canada, Europe, the US and the Caribbean. In the summer months they enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and were proud members of the Honda Goldwing Motorcycle Club. Dad is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Flo Bilodeau-Cooke, three daughters Nancy Cooke (Brad Chatwin), Julie (Bernie Simpson) and Cathy (Scott Whittaker). He is fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jeff Reimer (Andrea), Alyssa Sevilla (Ven), Paul Simpson (Lisa), Kelly Bonn (Neil), Holly, Joshua and Charlotte. He will be missed by great-grandchildren, Austin, Taylor, Taleen, Fergus, Francis, Cleah, Auden, Olivia and Natalie.
Funeral Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh St. W., (613-932-8482). At Dad’s request, no service will take place. We are comforted to know that Dad is at peace after living with Alzheimer’s for several years. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolence may be left at www.lahaiesullivan.ca
There is one thing Alzheimer’s cannot take
away and that is love.
Love is not a memory – it’s a feeling that
resides in your heart and soul.
Our Dad taught us everything except how to live without him.
Love you Forever, Dad.
