Mrs. Queena Scott

1924 – 2023

On August 10, 2023 Queena Jean Scott, (née Bingley) loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly in the city of Cornwall, Ontario. Queena is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Calvin, and predeceased by her first husband, John Labonté. Beloved Mother to Greg Labonté (Donna), Derek Labonté, John Scott, Susan Bough (David) and Valerie Bissonette. Cherished Grandmother to Jana, Kelly, Shawn, Sandasha, and Scott. Proud Great-Grandmother to Zane, Rylan, Kyra, Jenna, Kenzie, Reid, Piper, and Calvin. Predeceased by her siblings Ross, Cherry, Roy, and Joan and her parents Roy Bingley, Sr. and Berthe Bergeron. Beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Queena was an avid golfer and curler and a longtime member of Summerheights Golf Links and the Cornwall Curling Club. She was also one of the founding members of the Cornwall Beagle Club.

The Family will receive friends at the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street, (613) 938-1039 across from City Hall on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm, & 7 pm to 9 pm, and from 9 am until time of service on August 25, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial is being held at 11 am on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 18318 County Road 2, Cornwall, Ontario.

The family would like to thank the many dedicated doctors, nurses, PSW’s, and support staff at the Cornwall Community Hospital for their excellent care and compassion shown for our dear Queena.
