Reta Kathryne Gillard

GILLARD, Reta Kathryne (Beaudette) of Ingleside, formerly of Aultsville, passed away peacefully at Extendicare Port Hope, with family at her side, on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest David Gillard, and loving mother to Carolyne Broderick (David Broderick), of Cobourg, Cheryl Gillard (deceased) and Jennifer Gillard (Stephen Della Casa), of Cobourg, Reta Gillard was the very proud grandmother of Sarah Broderick (Justin Oberson) of Toronto, Jonathan Broderick (Meryl Henderson) of London, England and Sophia Della Casa of Mississauga and the loving great-grandmother of Jack Oberson. Predeceased by her parents Marion Elizabeth Hodgins (Beaudette) and Eugene Daniel Beaudette, sisters Lillian Quenville, Betty Gray and Eva Sliter (Cornwall) and brothers Allan Beaudette and Ronald Beaudette (Ingleside), she is survived by her brothers Howard Beaudette (Noreen) and Daniel Beaudette (Laura) of Ingleside. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and extended family, she is also remembered by many Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry friends, including former colleagues and retirees of Upper Canada Village, where she served proudly as a guide and interpreter of ‘lost village’ and St. Lawrence Seaway history for over 25 years. Visitation will be held at Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Home at 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Friday, October 28th from 11:30 to 1:30 PM with a Celebration of Life to follow in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 PM, Rev.
