CARROLL, Rita–At the Cornwall Community Hospital on Monday May 4, 2015. She was 94. Dear aunt of Carroll Clark of East Stroudsburg, Kathryn Clark of Sparta and Michael Clark of Hopatcong and sister-in-law of Eric Norman Clark. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Annie (Devaney) Carroll, 2 brothers, Jack and Leonard and 2 sisters, Mary Carroll and Clare Anne Clark. Rita’s career included social work, nursing and teaching nursing at McGill University. Rita had a passion for literacy and was a long standing member of Tri-County Literacy Council. Her generosity went beyond literacy as she supported numerous organizations and causes. Cremation services entrusted to the M. John Sullivan Funeral Home, 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall). Funeral Service will be held on Friday June 5, 2015 at 10 am in the chapel of the Funeral Home. Rite of Committal at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chesterville on Friday June 5, 2015 at 2pm. In honour of Rita’s wishes, donations may be made to Tri-County Literacy Council.
