MACDONALD Robena- On September 12, 2013, at the age of 91, very peacefully with her 4 little Macs by her side, Robena MacDonald (Nixon) went to be with her late husband and son. Our wonderful mother leaves behind daughters- Judy Martel (Rheal), Patsy Portieous (Reginald), Heather Desjardins (Richard) and devoted son Milton Jr. (Mickey) MacDonald. She is predeceased by her husband Milton MacDonald and son Lyal MacDonald. She is survived by her sister Purley Alguire (Ottawa) and predeceased by sister Myrle Booth and brother Lyal Nixon (Mavis). She was the daughter of the late Lemuel Nixon and Dorothy Nixon (Colbran). She was a fun and devoted granny to Diana Pilon, Debbie Gabri, Joanne Cayer, Tina Wolfson, Danielle Lauzon, Shari King, Tracy Piquette, Cory Desjardins, Jeffery Desjardins, Shawn MacDonald and Ryan MacDonald. She was a loving great grandmother to 22 great-grandchildren. She worked 18 years at the St. Lawrence Estate caring for the elderly and spent the last 4 and a half years of her life at the St. Joseph’s Villa in the wonderful caring hands of her Quinn House family; for this we will be forever grateful. Beanies witty sense of humour, great morning hugs and great laughter with the residents and staff always resulted in her being told “Beanie you made my day”. Her spunk and fun loving way of living will carry on for generations to come. We love you mom, we will miss you and you will always be in our thoughts. Gone to California! Family in attendance at Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) from 12 noon Monday. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home at 1 P.M. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to St. Johns Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
