Robert "Bob" George Cooper

At the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre surrounded by his beloved family on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at the age of 86 years. Dearly beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Derouchie) Cooper. Cherished father of Mark Cooper (Judy), Allan Cooper (Ted Bourgon), Audrey Pidgeon (Dave), Carl Cooper (Sherry), Kim Tremblay (Jack) and Robert Cooper (Rachelle). Adored Grandpa of nineteen grandchildren. Incredibly treasured “Big Grandpa” of twenty three great grandchildren with one on the way. Loving companion of Ruth Pidgeon for the last three years. Predeceased by his parents John Cooper and Evangeline (nee Brownell). Survived by his siblings Ruth Lalonde, Arthur Cooper, Bernice Fournier, Alice McCheyne (Paul), Tommy Cooper (Betty) and Linda Coleman.

Bob was always a shining example of hard work, dedication and love who together with his beloved wife built a nurturing home for his family. His life revolved around his family and he was well known for his contagious smile and endless practical jokes. He always talked about his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and how proud and overjoyed they made him feel.

Resting at Lahaie and Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes West Branch on Tuesday January 28th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Wednesday January 29th from 9am until the time of Funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 in the Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 11am. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery. The family of Bob requests the honour of your presence at a special reception and light lunch following the funeral at the Army Navy Air Force at 14 Marlborough St, Cornwall, ON. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated by the family.
