Ronald Augustine D'Alessio

Beloved husband of the late Doreen D’Alessio (née Wilson).

Loving father of Craig D’Alessio (Jodi), Shelley Rochon (Paul) and Rodney D’Alessio (Shona). Treasured grandfather of Emily, Meagan, Sarah, Jordan, Mathieu, Ryan and Heath. Proud great-grandfather of Jett, Lincoln, Baron, Wyatt, William and Wrenley and Alexander.

Predeceased by his parents Ettore and Lucille (née Desimone) D’Alessio and his siblings Vincent D’Alessio, Margaret Baxter, John D’Alessio and Lily D’Alessio.

Ronald lived a full and vibrant life guided by a strong work ethic, a love of family and many passions that he shared generously with those around him. He had a lifelong enthusiasm for antique collecting and vintage cars and he found joy in the outdoors especially hunting and fishing with his sons.

Ronald was also a lifelong Toronto Maple Leafs fan, never losing hope for his beloved team. His passion for hockey extended beyond the NHL, as he took great pride in following his grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the ice, cheering them on at every opportunity.

A natural entrepreneur, Ronald had an exceptional gift for business ownership and property development. Over the years, he proudly owned and operated several ventures in the community, including Kentucky Fried Chicken, the AMC Jeep Renault dealership and A&W Restaurants, where he worked side by side with his wife and family. His dedication and vision left a lasting mark on all of his endeavors.

The family would like to thank all the amazing staff at the Cornwall Community Hospital and Riverdale Terrace for all their kindness and compassion in the past months.

The family will be in attendance at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, 20 Seventh St West (613-932-8482) on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 9:00 am until the time of service. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Cornwall would be appreciated by the family.
