Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.  Steven was always the consummate gentleman.  His service to his company though occasionally scared was that a dedication warmth and personable attributes with all.

Dear Barakatt Family,

Steven was a good friend and we shared many a laugh over the years. I will miss his Christmas cards, phone calls and his wonderful sense of humour.  I have fond memories of the Barakatt family and my visits to their home in Trois Rivieres.

Steve was my brother in law, and as such a good brother in law. Warm, thoughtful and generous, he liked to spend time with his family and the children. I appreciated spending time with him, often during those endless shopping afternoons ...

So sorry for your loss. Good to see all these photos of the family. He will be missed.

Back in the late 60's, Steve would sometimes visit us in Georgetown. Before the basement was finished, I would sweep it up from time to time and on one occasion, Steve decided he would give me a hand. Well. the dust was not in keeping with his allergies, and his eyes swelled up until they were almost shut tight. Out came the cold tea bags and any other home remedies I could think of. The worst part was that the rest of Steve's family was coming up for a visit and would take Steve home. I was thinking that Paul and Gloria would never entrust me with their son again! Everything turned out okay and we had a good chuckle. Steve has always been a dear nephew to me. We had a special relationship and I will miss him. With loving memories, Aunt Marg

It's so nice to see these pictures of Stevie and the rest of the family.  I'm sorry Auntie Gloria, Marlene, Bruce and your families for such a big loss. Stevie was always a part of our family.  I have lots of memories as a kid of Stevie visiting us and at Sito's. I'm happy we had a chance for our visit this summer. Rest in peace Stevie.

The year was 1970, the scene was a university dance. I was sitting quietly on a chair, when a young man sat on my lap. That young man was Steven, and it was the beginning of a friendship that has endured to this day. He was the brother I never had (though I have 4 biological brothers). We were best friends for 10 years until Steve moved away. We continued to stay in touch, though, and always exchanged Christmas cards.  I will miss his lively wit, his booming laugh, and his enjoyment of life.  Rest in peace Steve, you are loved and remembered.
