

Arlene was born in Clifton, Kansas to Elda O'Neil and Lee Roy Rand, the youngest of seven children and survived by her brother Michael McNally. She later moved to sunny Southern California where she was adopted by Lum and Rose Harris and spent most of her life. She is survived also by her close cousin Arthur Lee Patton.
She attended Orange Lutheran High School and later married Eugene Murray of Portland, Oregon. The joy of her life were her two sets of twins, two boys and two girls: Steven and Larry followed two years later by Lorrie and Wendy. The family spent wonderful years together in Fremont, Yorba Linda and Costa Mesa, California.
Arlene was an active member of her local Christian church and led a busy life raising her children and working in careers that included being a children’s dance instructor, making flowers for weddings, and working as a receptionist for a major magazine company. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend -living up to her middle name “Delight” every single day.
Surviving family members include her four children Steven and Larry Murray from St. George, Utah and Lorrie Hanley and Wendy Murray from Petaluma, California. Her grandchildren are Todd, Kyle and Marissa Murray, Brooks Hanley and Colby Pastore.
A small family memorial service will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach, California where she will be put to rest in her favorite place in the world –Orange County, California.
