

Camen Dunlea age 93 passed away on Sunday March 13, 2016. She was born in Toronto Ontario Canada, on September 8, 1922. A resident of Costa Mesa since 1956. She was predeceased by her parents Gerard Wacker of Holland and Irma Boreaux Wacker of Belgium. Her brother Rene Wacker of Toronto Ontario and sister Irma Francis of Cobourg, Ontario Canada. She entered the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942. She met the love of her life while working in the Air Force, Joseph Dunlea. They were married on October 3, 1944 after only knowing each other for 6 weeks. They were blest with two daughters Judy and Cheryl. In 1955 they decided to leave their family and cold weather behind and head for warmer climate and better opportunities. They resided in Costa Mesa and loved living here. Carmen worked with the Newport Mesa School District as a teacher’s aid, something she thoroughly enjoyed. Upon retirement Carmen and Joe traveled all over the world visiting every state, and many countries. Her favorite country was Norway. The love of her life Joe died in 2005. She was heartbroken and no longer did any traveling. She used to say “just was not the same without Joe.”
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Stewart (Bill Fink), Cheryl (Tom) Tuz Granddaughters Marcie (Gary) Grube Jolene, (Rob) Sedita Great-granddaughter Olivia Sedita and little baby boy Sedita to be born in May.
Her memorial service is being held at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church, in Costa Mesa at 12 noon on Tuesday, March 22nd. Graveside service will be immediately after Memorial Mass at Pacific View Cemetery in Corona del Mar, California.
