Charlie was born in Torrance, California and lived for 11 years in Redondo Beach where he grew to love the beach, the sun and the ocean. He developed lifelong friendships in his high school years in Gardena. After earning a bachelor’s degree in engineering from California State University at Long Beach he pursued a career in engineering. His later work years were at Aeronutronics in Newport Beach.
He was a loving husband and a proud father of four children. His five grandsons filled his later years with great fun and laughter. Camping, fishing and all outdoor activities made him a happy man. He windsurfed, walked, fished, painted, golfed, gardened, and explored many beautiful places in his motor home. He was happy with a hammer in his hand and a project to complete.
In his retirement he traveled from Alaska to New Zealand, and studied art in Italy. Much loved by family and friends, he leaves behind many fond memories and accomplishments.
