Generosity. That’s the one word that can describe him. Growing up in a time of chaos - World War II and the Chinese Civil War - he found peace in raising a family in Taiwan, Hawaii, and at last, California. From being a husband to a father to grandfather, he was dedicated in giving us all of his love. Never concerned for himself, he ensured the happiness of those around him. He passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Thursday, February 2nd at 3:48 am at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, sons, William and Paul, daughter, Caroline, son-in-law, Bernard, daughters-in-law, Sakura and Cindy, his six grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher, Celine, Isabelle, Samantha, and Madison, and grandson-in-law, Justin.
Please join us in memory of his legacy. May we remember his love and gentle spirit. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 25th at Mariners Church’s Chapel, 5001 Newport Coast Dr., Irvine, CA 92603.
