Choong B. Lee

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our father, Choong Bee Lee (Irvine, CA) on Sunday, August 22, 2021 (9:39 AM) at the age of 88. He passed at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He will be profoundly missed by our mother, spouse of 61 years, Chung; children: Wha (Bill), Jason, and Rick (Tamlyn); grandchildren: Morgana, Sebastian, Clara, Bridget, Alex, and Annie

We will remember our father as a person who was generous, kind, attentive, and considerate. Born in Seoul, Korea during the 광복 generation, he experienced independence from Japan and fought in the brutal Korean War in the 1950s. He married in 1960 and had three children. He immigrated to the US in 1973, settling in Redondo Beach, CA. He enjoyed the new country and its offerings. The family then moved to Irvine in 1992. His great joys were his grandchildren, looking after them when they were little, and being a dedicated and caring husband even when ailing. His other joys were electronics, gadgets, tending to the house, and driving. He lived to drive an electric car, a wish he expressed early in his life. He passed from complications of Parkinson's disease.

On August 26, 2021, he was laid to rest at Pacific View Memorial Park & Mortuary, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA 92625
