Having grown up on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Newport Beach, California, he graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1990, where he majored in English and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and went skydiving. At Newport Harbor High School, he played soccer and ran track.
Clarence spent most of his professional career at Trico Realty in Costa Mesa, California where he was involved in all facets of buying, selling and managing industrial real estate.
A passionate fan of both soccer and American football, he rooted for Manchester City and the Los Angeles Rams. In his cycling days, he completed multiple times the iconic Breathless Agony challenge – a race of 100+ miles and a climb of over 10,000 feet of altitude. More recently, his hobbies included nature photography, cooking and fine cuisine.
His favorite place in the world was the state of Hawaii, where he often said he felt the most close to his late mother, Celia Salter Turner.
Clarence is survived by his beloved daughters – Emma Turner, Hailey Baldridge and her spouse Jordan Baldridge, Abby Cardenas and her spouse Andrew Cardenas and the cutest grandchild ever, Caleb Cardenas – as well as father Clarence “Bus” Turner Sr., sister Irene Turner and her husband Drew MacDonald, stepmother Janice Turner and stepsiblings Carissa Ashman and Tyler Stonebreaker and his wife, Kristina Stonebreaker.
A memorial service honoring Clarence's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 10th 2025, in the Legacy Chapel of Pacific View Mortuary, 3500 Pacific View Drive in Corona del Mar, California where the Reverend Lydia Sarandan is to officiate.
