She was born on 9/2/1928 to Alice Ives Richardson and Harold Clifford Richardson in Los Angeles, CA. Her husband was Theodore (Ted) Sherman Schnack, and they had three boys, Theodore (Ted) Sherman Schnack Jr., Lawrence (Larry) Clifford Schnack, and Peter Richardson Schnack.
Ted and his late wife Lori gave her two grandchildren, Stephen and Alexandra. Larry and his wife Fran gave her two grandchildren, Stephanie and Brian. Peter and his partner Jon gave her three grandchildren, Trevor, Ethan, and Garrett.
We will all miss her incredibly much…
She was a wonderfully positive person throughout her life, and she maintained that positivity through many challenges and changes in her life, especially in her last few years. She cared more about others than herself and dedicated most of her life to caring for, inspiring, teaching, and helping them. She volunteered for many causes, further teaching us the importance of doing what you can to help other people. She also loved to travel, play tennis, play bridge, read books, and entertain.
She practiced humility, kindness, respect, and acceptance of people and their ideas. She also felt empathy for others and gracefully accepted her own challenges and decisions, all while displaying a sunny disposition. These are some of the many reasons she was a good friend to the people she touched; while she, in turn, also had been honored by their friendships.
She raised three sons, which was no easy task, and then later stepped up to help take care of two of her grandchildren upon the untimely loss of Ted's wife. She also lovingly cared for her mother, mother-in-law, and husband throughout their lives. She was always selfless, accepting, and giving.
We are all forever thankful to have had her in our lives. Her beautiful spirit has left an indelible mark on our souls, and her legacy lives on in our hearts and memories.
