Donna Barbara Iverson died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, May 5, 2012, in Huntington Beach, California. Born March 13, 1932, in Tucson, Arizona, to Robert & Hazel Stallings. Graduated from Tucson High School. Donna graduated with honors with a Registered Nursing Degree from the St. Mary's School of Nursing on September 6, 1953, and she was married that same day to the love of her life, James H. Iverson. They had 3 beautiful boys - Bob, John and Monte. She is preceded in death by her sons Bob & Monte. Husband Jim and son John survive as do grandchildren Annaliese & Jenson Rhinehart & Emily Iverson. Donna was active in PTA and Cub Scouts while her boys were young, she was a former President of her Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and she took pride in volunteering for Human Options for 14 years.
Services will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA, on Saturday, May 12 at 10 AM, followed by a reception at Mariners Pointe Clubhouse, 19350 Ward Street, Huntington Beach, CA, beginning at noon. The family will also receive guests at Pacific View Memorial Park on Thursday, May 10, from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donate to one of Donna's favorite causes - Human Options, the American Cancer Society, or Hospice.
