

Gale was born on March 5, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Donald Heck and June (Gross) Heck and has lived in the Irvine area for the past 53 years. In 1963, Gale was united in marriage to Kent Carlson, who preceded her death in 2006. Gale and Kent were married for 43 years. She enjoyed being a wife, mother and homemaker as well as working as a secretary for several years.
Her passions were many including vacations to Hawaii with her sister friend Cindy Passannante, her husband Tony, sons Mark & Eric and daughter Lana along with cruises to Mexico and game nights with her cousin Cathy Heck. She loved to be close to the ocean, watching nature, gardening, avid mystery or action movie lover and liked to have quiet moments doing word search puzzles. Most known for her kind and compassionate heart expressed by over 15 years of caregiving for her family members. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
Gale is preceded in death by her grandparents Otto and Anna Gross, Harold and Laura (Ohrt) Heck, sons Michael and Gary Carlson, uncles Neal and Dennis Heck, aunt Alma (Hornbeck) Heck, and niece Traci (Heck) Kuchenny. Gale is survived by her brother, Gary Heck, aunt Arlene (Serwinski) Heck, cousins Carol (Heck) Norton, Cathy Heck, Diana (Heck) Parsons, Steve Henrickson, Erin Henrickson and Kyle Norton, nieces Sherrie Litke, Arielle, Ashten, Kristal, Briana and AnaLaya and nephews David Heck and Valentino.
A private Scattering of Ashes, Burial at Sea has been planned.
