passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 65.
Born on December 10, 1959, in Torrance, California, to Lawrence and Margaret “Peg” Plummer,
Kevin was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from loving and serving those around
him—especially his newest pride and joy, his granddaughter.
A lifelong Californian, Kevin graduated from North High School in Torrance, earned a Bachelor’s
in Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and later a Master’s
Degree in International Business from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
In November 1990, Kevin married the love of his life and “dream girl,” Michelle Kelsey Plummer.
Shortly after settling in Aliso Viejo, they welcomed two beautiful children, Kristian and Kathryn,
into the world.
Kevin was known as the unofficial Mayor of Eaglepoint—always welcoming new neighbors with
a smile and a wave, assembling the neighborhood directory, serving cold beverages from his
driveway on the Fourth of July, and delighting everyone with his unforgettable Christmas Village
display.
He had a lifelong love of sports, both as a participant and a fan. From playing team handball in
the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics to coaching and cheering on his kids, Kevin immersed himself
in every part of the athletic experience. Even after his children’s collegiate careers ended, he
stayed connected to the game by becoming a volleyball official—a role that brought him great
joy in recent years as he continued to connect with others.
Kevin is survived by his wife Michelle; son Kristian; daughter Kathryn and her husband Michael
Boden; and his granddaughter, Arlo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and
Margaret Plummer, and his sister, Teresa Ittner.
The only thing that could match Kevin’s physical presence was the size of his heart. He was the
life of every party, made everyone feel seen and valued, and loved with his whole being.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kevin’s honor to Starlings
Volleyball, USA, a group that held a special place in his heart for their positive impact on the
lives of at-risk girls through the sport of volleyball. Visit Starlings.org and select the Ways to
Give tab.
