Marion Littlefair, 96, passed away suddenly and peacefully at her home in Newport Beach on Monday, August 1, 2022. She was born on October 8, 1925, to John and Cora Gressitt in Detroit, Michigan. Loving Marion was easy. Family and friends will always remember her charming, engaging and fun-loving personality. She was a good listener, loved to laugh, was an expert at crossword puzzles and word games and enjoyed playing the piano. She was kind and compassionate to all with a positive outlook on life.

She met the love of her life, USAF Air Force pilot, Ronald Littlefair on a blind date. They were married on March 19, 1955, in Detroit.
Ron and Marion had two sons, Thomas and Andrew, moving to Torrance, California in 1964 as Ron opened the Los Angeles office for CHUBB and Sons Insurance.
Marion taught fifth grade at Towers Elementary in the Torrance Unified School District for 10 years sharing her love for US History with her students before retiring in 1985. Several years later, she was honored to serve as the President of the California Retired Torrance Teachers Association Area VII.
Marion lived in Torrance for 40 years taking walks on the local beach bike path with friends, swimming in her backyard pool year-round and preparing food to feed and serve the homeless at Riviera Methodist Church.
In retirement, Ron and Marion often traveled to Hawaii and visited their condo in Coronado and she also loved spending time with her sons, daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Ron her husband of 49 years in 2004.
