Mason was born on September 30, 2003 in Newport Beach, California. He was the youngest of four in a family of all boys, born to Cheri and Norman Ryan. Rather than stay quiet in the shadows of his older brothers – Linus, Logan, and Schuyler – Mason forged a unique path in an eventful life marked by his expressiveness, lightheartedness, and supportiveness.
A creative and tireless soul with a mind for accomplishing anything, Mason’s teenage years were characterized by an endless series of hobbies and projects. He was an avid piano player and music buff, who loved to play as he lived his life – fast-paced and meaningfully. He earned a Youtube Silver Play Button in just one day. And he cultivated a following of nearly a million Instagram followers; a journey that ended with him forming an online community of peers, friends with whom he found constant joy exploring new projects.
Mason had completed all requirements to earn his degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and was set to graduate in June 2025. He had long dreamed of attending UCSB and it was abundantly clear that he cherished his time there; Mason was surrounded by an ever-growing circle of friends who could rely on him to be a warm and welcoming light with an unmatched positive energy. When he wasn’t traveling across the US to see friends and family, he could often be found surfing, hanging out at beaches, or exploring the local hiking trails. No matter where he was, or what he was doing, Mason brought people together; he was the heart and soul of every gathering.
Mason remains in the hearts of his loving parents, his three brothers, his adored cat, Rolo, as well as the countless friends whose lives he has enriched and forever changed for the better.
Memorials and celebrations of his life will be held in Dana Point and Redding, California.
