Pam’s parents, Paul and Pauline Starke, met through a mutual friend while attending University of California, Santa Barbara. Soon after Paul left to assist with the war effort. Paul and Pauline got married in June of 1947 while spending a summer in Bakersfield, CA, where Paul was working. They then decided to return to Santa Barbara where they had three daughters, Pam, Patty, and Penny.
Pam was the first born of the three sisters in Santa Barbara, CA. She attended Thousand Oaks High School where she graduated in 1969. Pam then attended California Western University graduating in 1973 with a degree in education/english. Pam met Albert Frost III and they were married in 1974, eventually having three children. They moved to Bozeman Montana soon after where Pam completed her teaching certificate. She taught 9th grade at Bozeman High School. During this time Pam acquired her real estate license eventually transitioning full time into real estate which was one of her life's passions.
Pam is survived by her three children, Zachary Starke Frost, Catherine Marie Frost-Hack and Alexander Albert Frost. Pam always focused heavily on her children, trying to give them the best quality of life as a single parent.
Zach was the first born of three children. He is a hard worker, a problem solver and a great husband and father. In 2010, Zachary and his wife, Theresa Frost, gave Pam her first grandson, Keo Frost. Pam often spent weekends with her grandson becoming a very important part of his life.
Pam always loved watching her only daughter Cassie ride horses and at one time moved us all to a ranch house in Rancho Santa Fe so that she could keep her horse there. Pam loved attending many of Cassie's horse shows from Southern California all the way up to Canada, supporting her dream to become a professional equestrian. Her husband, Travis Hack, is a pilot currently employed by American Airlines.
Her youngest, Alex, was her travel buddy. Pam instilled in him a love of travel at a very young age. Together, they traveled to many different countries across five continents. Pam hired a French babysitter when he was an infant which allowed him to learn French at a very young age. Through all this travel, Alex was eventually inspired to move to Brazil with his wife, Jamily Bassila-Frost to start their own hostel.
Pam was always front and center for her children and her grandchild as well and would always light up during visits from her kids; they were truly her passion in life.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, CA. on Saturday, October 6th at 2:00 P.M. Family and friends are invited to join us as we celebrate the life of Pamela Frost.
